POVERTY IS NOT THE DESTINY OF ANY GAMBIAN
The EFF Manifesto recognises that the challenges facing The Gambia — unemployment, poverty, weak infrastructure, food insecurity, energy deficits, and institutional fragility — are not natural disasters. They are the product of choices made and choices avoided. Different choices, made with discipline and vision, can produce different outcomes.
Our country is blessed with fertile land, abundant waters, a youthful population and 500 recorded marine fish species. We are not lacking in talent, ideas or ambition; we have simply failed to turn that potential into shared prosperity.
The Atlantic and the Mediterranean must not become graveyards for Gambian dreams.
The most painful symptom of failure is the “back way” — young Gambians risking their lives for Europe. The EFF Tourism Masterpiece commits 25,000 youth jobs so that tomorrow does not have to be found across the sea.
Total Estimated Investment: USD 25 billion over 10 years. Financed 55% from domestic revenue, with development partners, private sector, diaspora bonds, and green finance completing the balance. Every commitment is costed, phased and independently audited.
PEOPLE'S LIVELIHOOD PROGRAMME
National development must be felt in the daily lives of citizens — not just seen in macroeconomic statistics. No Gambian left behind.
1 District, 1 Ambulance
Every district gets a fully equipped ambulance by 2028. No mother or patient lost on the road to care.
1 District, 5 Commercial Buses
District-owned buses connecting villages to markets, schools and hospitals — 80% government subsidised.
Universal Elderly Pension
Monthly payments to every Gambian citizen aged 65 and above. Dignity and security in old age — guaranteed.
Digital Skills for Youth
One Digital Skills Centre per district — coding, design, cybersecurity, fintech. Seed grants for startups.
OFFICIAL LAUNCH
EFF works to end poverty, create 250,000 jobs, and build a stronger Gambia.
Every Gambian deserves a fair chance to succeed.
SHARED VALUES. SHARED PROSPERITY.
WHY NOW?
EFF Gambia has not come to preach despair. We have come with credible solutions: jobs, food security, free education and healthcare, climate resilience, a digital economy, and a Gambia connected to global markets on fair terms.
This movement belongs to the mother in the market, the farmer, the fisherman, the teacher, the nurse, the worker and the unemployed graduate who still believes tomorrow can be better. Our vision: a prosperous, united, secure and sovereign Gambia in which every citizen can work, prosper and live in dignity.
CAN ALL THIS BE ACHIEVED? YES.
With discipline, careful planning and honest government. Every commitment will be costed, phased and monitored through a National Transformation Council, a Delivery Unit in the Office of the President, annual independently-audited Progress Reports, and a live Citizen Dashboard.
An EFF-led government will publish targets and annual progress. Judge us by delivery. This is not charity from political leaders — it is the rightful return of the people's resources to the people.

EFF PROJECTS
The EFF does not wait for elections to deliver change. These are our ongoing grassroots projects — buses, kitchens, water, youth enterprise — delivered now.
