CORE BELIEFS
“We believe that nations are transformed not by rhetoric but by vision. Not by promises but by delivery. Not by division but by unity. Not by dependency but by productivity.”
— Founding Philosophy
The Economic Freedom Fighters affirm that the strength of a nation lies not merely in its natural resources or institutions, but in the character of its people, the integrity of its leadership, and the opportunities it creates for every citizen.
ECONOMIC FREEDOM IS A FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT
Every Gambian deserves the opportunity to work, earn a living, own property, establish businesses, and improve their quality of life through honest effort and enterprise. Economic Freedom Is Not a Slogan — It Is a Policy. We commit to a productive, diversified, and export-oriented economy.
JOBS MUST BE THE NATIONAL PRIORITY
A nation cannot prosper while its youth remain unemployed. Every policy of government must be measured by its capacity to create dignified work. We are committed to generating 250,000 jobs over 10 years through agriculture, manufacturing, fisheries, tourism, and digital services.
HUMAN CAPITAL IS OUR GREATEST RESOURCE
Free education, 5,000 new teachers, universal health coverage, and an old-age pension for every Gambian citizen over 65. A nation that invests in its people is a nation that invests in its future. We will end the hidden fees that keep our children out of school.
WEALTH MUST BE CREATED WHERE PEOPLE LIVE
EFF rejects the model of development that concentrates all opportunity in Greater Banjul. Our USD 2 billion District Investment Fund, One District One Product strategy, and district industrial parks ensure every LGA earns, produces, and exports.
PAN-AFRICANISM & STRATEGIC SOVEREIGNTY
Africa First. EFF will engage ECOWAS, the African Union, and global partners on Gambian terms — not as supplicants. We will reject foreign exploitation of our fisheries, land, and resources. Our sovereignty is not for sale.
HONEST, ACCOUNTABLE GOVERNANCE
EFF will defend the Constitution — including no extension of term limits. We demand judicial independence, merit-based public service, and total transparency. We will introduce a live Citizen Dashboard tracking every government commitment.
ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP
10 million trees planted by 2037. 50,000 hectares of forest restored. We will not mortgage our children's climate for today's convenience. Environmental protection is a national survival imperative.
From Beliefs to Action
These beliefs are fully elaborated and costed across 17 distinct policy pillars in our 10-year transformation agenda.
